The New England Patriots’ two biggest stars missed practice for separate reasons, according to reports.

Tight end Rob Gronkowski sat out of Patriots practice Friday because of a “personal issue,” a source told NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport on Friday. Gronkowski’s issue “won’t affect his status” in Sunday’s matchup with the Tennessee Titans, according to Rapoport.

Quarterback Tom Brady reportedly is dealing with an illness. Linebacker Eric Martin missed practice Thursday and Friday with an illness. Patriots defensive lineman Rufus Johnson, linebacker Jamie Collins and offensive lineman Ryan Wendell also have hit the injury report this season with illnesses.

Center Bryan Stork also didn’t practice Friday. There’s no word on why the Patriots’ starting offensive lineman was absent.
