It’s now been a week since the U.S. Court of Appeals reinstated Tom Brady’s four-game Deflategate suspension, but the New England quarterback’s legal team has yet to request a hearing.

And the NFL is not happy with the delay.

Brady’s legal team recently asked for a 14-day extension to file an en banc petition in front of the Second Circuit, but the NFL believes such a request isn’t necessary because of time constraints.

“The first pre-season game is just over three months away,” co-lead counsel for the NFL Paul D. Clement wrote, via USA TODAY. “Time remains of the essence.”

But with the addition of Theodore B. Olson to Brady’s legal team, it doesn’t appear as though the quarterback is planning on backing down, regardless of how long the case might take.
