Patriots Pose With Jim Brown Statue While Celebrating Win In Cleveland

Tom Brady wasn’t the only one who made the most of his trip to Cleveland this weekend.

The New England Patriots quarterback blew doors Sunday in his first game back from suspension, torching the Browns for 406 passing yards and three touchdowns in his team’s 33-13 win.

But while all eyes were on Brady both during and after the game, his teammates took some time to pay respect to an NFL legend. As the team exited FirstEnergy Stadium, Jabaal Sheard and several other Patriots — defensive end Chris Long, wide receiver Julian Edelman, tight end Martellus Bennett, running back LeGarrette Blount and safety Devin McCourty among them — made a pit stop, posing for a cool photo with the statue of Hall of Fame running back Jim Brown.

Brown is a prominent civil rights activist and one of the most influential people in NFL history, so it’s pretty awesome to see Sheard and his teammates show appreciation for the Cleveland icon.
