Rangers Sign Callahan to Multiyear Deal  The New York Rangers continue to round out their 2009-10 roster, signing right wing and restricted free agent Ryan Callahan to a multiyear deal on Monday. The Rangers and Callahan were scheduled to have an arbitration hearing on July 23.

Callahan, 24, set career highs with 22 goals, 40 points and 81 games
played during the 2008-09 season. He posted a plus-7 rating and led the
Rangers with 256 hits.

A native of Rochester, N.Y., Callahan was one of 34 players invited
to next month’s U.S. Olympic hockey orientation camp. In 147 NHL games,
Callahan has 34 goals and 25 assists.
