Ortiz, Drew Out of Lineup for Sox as Damon Returns for Yankees

A .304 batting average and a pair of home runs against CC Sabathia aren't enough to keep David Ortiz in the lineup on Sunday night.

J.D. Drew, who owns a less impressive .200 average against the lefty Sabathia, will also sit to start Sunday's game against the Yankees. Jason Varitek will handle Josh Beckett and bat eighth, while Rocco Baldelli will get his first start since Aug. 5 in Tampa Bay.

For New York, Johnny Damon returns to the lineup after missing most of Friday's game and all of Saturday's after he fouled a pitch off his right knee on Friday.
