Sanchez Has Unimpressive Day at Camp

Kellen Clemens took a step forward in the quarterback battle brewing in central New York, thanks to an off day from Mark Sanchez.

The Jets' top pick was erratic in 11-on-11 drills, the New York Post reports. He completed just one of six passes, missing receivers who were open in the end zone on multiple occasions.

Clemens, meanwhile, completed 10 of his 16 passes.

Head coach Rex Ryan was keeping a close eye on the situation.

"[Sanchez] made some great throws and some that you were, like, 'Gosh, where are those coming from?'" Ryan told the Post.

Sanchez also threw an interception to Bart Scott in a nine-on-seven drill.
