The Yankees recalled Anthony Claggett on Wednesday, and the right-hander will join the team in Toronto for Wednesday's series finale against the Blue Jays.

In anticipation of Sergio Mitre's start against the Blue Jays, the Yankees chose to bring up Claggett in the event Mitre does not last long in the game. With a four-game series against the Red Sox looming over the weekend, the Yankees don't want to tire their bullpen.

In 32 games for Triple-A Scranton, Claggett was 4-6 with a 3.02 ERA. He made his debut in the majors on April 18, allowing eight runs on nine hits in 1 2/3 innings in a Yankees' loss to the Indians.
