Bruins Send Max Sauve to Junior Team

An impressive showing in the preseason wasn't enough for forward Max Sauve to earn a spot with the big club, as the Boston Bruins sent him back to Val-d'Or, his junior club, according to The Boston Globe.

On Saturday, Sauve registered an assist in a loss to the Rangers after scoring what proved to be the game-winning goal against the Blueshirts in the preseason opener on Tuesday.

According to the report, Sauve is not under contract and "will most likely latch on with Providence after his junior season concludes, then become a full-time AHLer in 2010-11."
