David Krejci Feeling Good, Could Play in Thursday’s Bruins Opener

After undergoing hip surgery in the offseason, newly extended forward David Krejci has recovered faster than expected and is likely to play in Thursday's season opener, NESN.com's James Murphy reported from Bruins practice.

The 23-year-old center practiced on Monday, playing between Michael Ryder and Blake Wheeler, and said that he feels good.

A native of the Czech Republic, Krejci registered 73 points, second only to top-line centerman Marc Savard. Krejci's plus-37 rating ranked No. 1 on the B's last year, while his average time on ice (16:50) ranked third among forwards behind Savard (19:32) and Patrice Bergeron (18:01).
