In what may be his final rehab start before returning to Boston, Daisuke Matsuzaka looked like he's looked all season-long: shaky.

The righty gave up four hits and two runs over 4 1/3 innings against the Syracuse Chiefs on Friday at McCoy Stadium. Both runs came on solo homers but Dice-K believes he's ready to return to the big leagues.

“I think, within myself at least, I’m ready to go,” Matsuzaka told projo.com. “If there was one thing, I would probably say that the command on my breaking balls wasn’t as sharp today."

Matsuzaka threw 43-of-67 pitches for strikes and was hitting his fastball at around 91 M.P.H.

“Starting right from my warmup in the bullpen, I felt like I was able to get after it today,” Matsuzaka said.
