You either love them or hate them, but a recent study shows that the Yankees are considered to be "America's Team" when it comes to Major League Baseball.
According to study done by the Sacred Heart University Polling Institute, the Yankees tallied more votes than any other team regarding the question.
The Yankees were picked on 41.6 percent of the 800 surveys conducted with no other team coming near that total. the Red Sox finished second, earning 16.3 percent of the vote, and the Cubs came in third, accounting for 7.3% of the vote. The Braves finished fourth (6.9 percent) and the Phillies fifth (4.2%).
25 of the 30 teams in the majors received votes in the survey.
