On Friday, the Boston Celtics announced that they are partnering with Chipotle Mexican Grill to bring the burrito restaurant's brand to the Garden and bolster the team's community relations efforts.
“Chipotle’s dedication to serving quality food makes them the perfect fit to partner with on our youth basketball initiative, and we’re thrilled to have them on board,” Boston Celtics Vice President of Corporate Sponsorship Ted Dalton said. “Their involvement in-game will also increase fan engagement and add to the overall game experience.”
During select games at the Garden this season, Chipotle will sponsor a “Lucky Row” where fans seated in the chosen row will receive a "Burrito Buck" redeemable for a free burrito at participating Chipotle locations. Additionally, Chipotle's brand will be featured on courtside DLP and LED signage, as well as in a timeout presentation on the Garden's scoreboard.
Chipotle will also improve the Celtics' community outreach by sponsoring the Reebok Junior Celtics Program, which teams up with the Greater Boston YMCA to teach area youth the fundamentals of basketball. The restaurant will host three youth basketball clinics during the winter and spring, featuring a current Celtics player or legend to lead the activities. Chipotle's brand will be featured on the Reebok Junior Celtics Program website, as well as on all equipment used in the program.
