Tom Coughlin Takes a Look at Former Giants Kicker Matt Bryant

Giants kicker Lawrence Tynes has looked a lot like the guy who missed two potentially game-winning field goals in the NFC Championship Game two years ago, rather than the guy who kicked the game-winner in overtime in that same game. And because of this, the Giants have decided to take a look at an old friend, kicker Matt Bryant, WDAE in Tampa originally reported.

Bryant, a kicker with the Giants from 2002-03, was in New York on Monday to work out for Tom Coughlin and the Giants with the struggles of Tynes continuing. Bryant, 34, played for the Buccaneers from 2004-08 and made 60 of his 71 attempts (84.5 percent) over the last two seasons.

Tynes has made just 10 field goals in 13 attempts this season, and the three misses have all come from within 40 yards. Two of those misses came from within 30 yards.
