Bruins, Chipotle Mexican Grill Announce Multiyear Partnership Agreement

Bruins principal owner Charlie Jacobs announced on Wednesday that the club has entered a multiyear partnership agreement with Chipotle Mexican Grill.

The partnership will include prominent logo visibility throughout the TD Garden, presenting sponsorships of "Chipotle Student Night" and the "Chipotle T-Shirt Toss," and the distribution of "Burrito Bucks" to all youth hockey teams that participate in the team’s "Future Bruins" program. Per team policy, financial terms of the deal will not be disclosed.

"Our strategy when seeking out potential business partners is to align ourselves with brands that share the same passion for their product as we do for ours, as well as possess a similar set of core company values," said Jacobs. "And we feel we have found an ideal match with Chipotle Mexican Grill. This will be a two-way, mutually beneficial partnership for the two organizations and Bruins fans as well. With discounted tickets available and free Chipotle burritos involved, we know our fans will be excited about this too."

As a result of the partnership, Chipotle Mexican Grill’s logo will be on display in a number of highly visible areas throughout the TD Garden, including the in-arena panels along the facade of the lower balcony and on the actual ice surface. Both of these locations are in full view of all game patrons in attendance, while the ice surface logos will be visible to all viewers watching at home during the local and national broadcasts of Bruins home games.

In addition to the in-arena signage, Chipotle will become the presenting sponsor of "Chipotle Student Night," which offers local students discounted Bruins tickets for select home games throughout the season. It also gives fans the chance to redeem their student tickets for a free burrito at their local Chipotle following the game.

Chipotle will also become the presenting sponsor of the "Chipotle T-Shirt Toss," which happens twice each home game, when Bruins Ice Girls and Blades the Bruins mascot throw Bruins T-shirts to the most enthusiastic Bruins fans in attendance. The Bruins-Chipotle partnership has put a new twist to the promotion, as the T-shirts will now be wrapped in foil, just like a Chipotle burrito.

All youth hockey teams that participate in the "Future Bruins" initiative will receive "Burrito Bucks," which can be redeemed for free Chipotle burritos. "Future Bruins" provides youth hockey teams the opportunity to play a 40-minute hockey game on the TD Garden ice prior to Bruins regular season home games. Youth hockey players and their parents enjoy a memorable day at the TD Garden that includes use of the Bruins locker room, team pictures at center ice, and a meet and greet with a Bruins player.
