Now I'm no Jimmy Snyder — for more than a few reasons — but hopefully, you see a few trends in my picking ability and spread the word that I have the magic touch when it comes to winners.
(Hopefully, one of these weeks, I come out on top.)
Here we go.
Redskins (2-5) at Falcons (4-3)
The Dirty Birds have fallen on some tough times, but this looks like just the matchup to get Matty Ice from behind the eight ball. Pick Falcons.
Cardinals (4-3) at Bears (4-3)
Once again, I hate to pick against my hometown team, but I'm just not overwhelmed by Jay Cutler. But Soldier Field is home field. Bears.
Ravens (4-3) at Bengals (5-2)
Ochocinco, I think your speed stick may have slowed down because Ray Lewis and Ed Reed won't have a problem covering you. Ravens all day.
Texans (5-3) at Colts (7-0)
What more can I say except, "Cut that meat!" Never doubt a Manning whose first name isn’t Eli. Colts.
Dolphins (3-4) at Patriots (5-2)
Joey Porter must have been hanging out with Stephon Marbury because I don’t know what is going on in that cat’s head. Pats defend the Wildcat.
Packers (4-3) at Buccaneers (0-7)
The Bucs are the equivalent of burning garbage. Packers every time.
Chiefs (1-6) at Jaguars (3-4)
Battle of the bad teams. I really think K.C. has a chance — I don’t know why, but I do.
Lions (1-6) at Seahawks (2-5)
Can we get Barry Sanders and Steve Largent to come out of retirement to make this a watchable game? Seattle, but who really cares?
Panthers (3-4) at Saints (7-0)
It looks like Drew Brees and the New Orleans boys are the new “Greatest Show on Turf.” Who dat? Saints, dat's who!
Chargers (4-3) at Giants (5-3)
I think Eli can get back on track and get the Giants a win.
Titans (1-6) at 49ers (3-4)
Vince Young may never be the quarterback he was in college. With that being said, lean toward Samurai Mike and San Francisco.
Cowboys (5-2) at Eagles (5-2)
Possibly the tightest game this week. In the end, I have to go with Donovan McNabb and Philly. Donovan is a proven winner — Tony Romo is not.
Steelers (5-2) at Denver (6-1)
Josh McDaniels is the real deal. Just ask — well, ask anyone in the league except for the Ravens. Go with Denver.
As always, these aren’t the concrete picks of the century, but they should provide a decent guideline when you browse the TV listings for Sunday. Happy watching!
