The Patriots are welcoming back defensive lineman Adrian Grady to the practice squad more than a month after releasing the 6-foot-1, 290-pounder on Sept. 30.

New England had an open slot on the eight-man practice squad following the signing of wide receiver Isaiah Stanback to the 53-man roster last Saturday, who took the place of Brandon Tate, who was placed on the season-ending injured reserve with a knee injury.

Grady was originally signed by the Indianapolis Colts as a rookie free agent out of Louisville following the draft. After getting waived by the Colts, the Pats inked him to their practice squad on Sept. 7, but he was waived three weeks later.

The Georgia native had 41 tackles, nine tackles for loss and two sacks in his senior year with the Cardinals.
