The Phillies are down 3-1 in the World Series, but apparently the Philadelphia Inquirer isn't aware.

The Philadelphia-based newspaper is running an ad by Macy's congratulating the Phillies on back-to-back titles with the promotion of the world championship T-shirt.

The ad was printed on the back page of the front section of the Monday edition of the paper, celebrating a premature series win for the Phillies with the team trailing the Yankees and facing an elimination game on Monday night.

The Inquirer apologized for running the inaccurate ad saying the paper "deeply regrets this error."
