Randy Moss Not Being Disciplined for Lack of Media Availability

Randy Moss' news conference on Sunday was just the latest chapter in the wide receiver's interesting relationship with reporters.

Moss took to the podium in a rush, saying, "Now y'all had all two weeks to do y'all's talkin'. Let me do mine."

He then made a brief statement about how his shoulders could handle the weight of the world, and he walked off just as quickly as he came. (If you haven't seen it, you should. And you can right here. It's fairly entertaining.)

It was the first public statement that Moss has made since the media questioned his desire after a win over Carolina last Sunday. In fact, Moss hasn't been available nearly as much as players are supposed to be, yet he's not been disciplined by the league.

Nor will he be disciplined for leaving Sunday's conference without taking questions from reporters, according to ProFootballTalk.com. The Web site talked with league spokesman Greg Aiello, who did not indicate that there was an issue with Moss.

"The Patriots work closely with Randy and will continue to do so to ensure that he is available to the media on a regular basis," Aiello told the Web site.

Earlier this season, Terrell Owens got into a "heated discussion" with Aiello when Owens refused to talk to the media.
