Tom Brady Held Out of Thursday’s Practice

Tom Brady didn't participate in Thursday's practice — and it wasn't because he was hanging out with his brand new baby.

The Patriots' official practice report states that the quarterback missed practice due to right finger, right shoulder and rib injuries, according to ESPNBoston.com.

Although Brady didn't miss any snaps in Sunday's 22-21 loss to Miami, he headed to the locker room after getting hit hard after a long touchdown pass to Randy Moss in the first quarter. He never indicated what it was that sent him to the locker room.

The finger injury was disclosed in last week's practice report, but head coach Bill Belichick claims that the injury did not significantly alter New England's game plan heading into Sunday's contest.

"We didn't change much," Belichick told ESPNBoston.com. "You saw the first drive of the game [a 58-yard touchdown pass to Moss]. The plays we had, we ran. There weren't really any changes."
