Terry Francona, Kevin Youkilis, John Lackey and other baseball celebrities will be in attendance at the 2010 Boston Baseball Writers dinner on Thursday, Jan. 14 at the Westin Waterfront Hotel in Boston.
Tickets for the event are still available and can be purchased by sending a check to Boston Chapter BBWAA, PO Box 7346, Nashua, N.H. 03060. Tickets are $150 each.
Youkilis was given the Thomas A. Yawkey Memorial Award for being the team's most valuable player, as voted by the Boston writers. Jon Lester was named the team's pitcher of the year, Jonathan Papelbon the reliever of the year and Daniel Bard the rookie of the year. The event will include a cocktail hour, a silent memoriabilia auction presented by the Ted Williams Museum, an autograph session with former Red Sox players, a dinner an another autograph session with awards winners for children aged 16 and under.
