The Boston Red Sox have signed right-handed pitcher Jorge Sosa to a minor league deal, The Boston Globe reports.
Sosa made 18 relief appearances for the Washington Nationals last season and also has pitched as a starter.
His best season came in 2005 with the Atlanta Braves, when he finished the 2005 season with a 13-3 record and 2.55 ERA.
Sosa has been a member of seven different organizations in eight major league seasons and has a career record of 42-50.
The Red Sox also signed left-handed reliever Brian Shouse to a minor league contract earlier this week.
