Clay Buchholz Joins 2010 Rally Against Cancer as Jimmy Fund Spokesperson The Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Jimmy Fund have named Clay Buchholz as their Rally Against Cancer Spokesperson for this season, MLB.com reports.

The Rally Against Cancer initiative gives any Red Sox fan who donates at least $5 to the Jimmy Fund the chance to wear Red Sox gear to work or school on Red Sox rally day on April 6. In addition, Buchholz will visit the company or school that raises the most money for the Jimmy Fund (provided it’s within two hours from Boston by car).

This season marks the fifth year of the program. Past Red Sox participants include Jon Lester, Trot Nixon, Dustin Pedroia and Kevin Youkilis.

The Jimmy Fund hopes the program raises $600,000 this year. Rally Against Cancer has earned $1.6 million over the past four years.
