According to the New York Daily News, Knicks center Eddy Curry will exercise his $11.27 million player option for the 2010-11 season.

The former first-round pick underwent arthroscopic knee surgery on Jan. 18. Curry has averaged 3.7 points in seven games for the Knicks this season.

The veteran center is ready to play, but says that coach Mike D'Antoni probably will not give him the opportunity.

"Odds are I'm not going to play," Curry told the Daily News. "For my own sanity I would like to come back."
