Despite breaking her pinkie during Wednesday's giant slalom, Lindsey Vonn will compete in Friday's slalom race, according to The Associated Press.
Vonn, who nearly sat out the Olympics because of a shin bruise, has won two medals and will look for more in her final event on Friday.
A nasty spill in Wednesday's event landed Vonn with a cracked proximal phalanx in her right pinkie and a disappointing end to the event after she got off to a promising start.
"I'm disappointed in myself that I made that mistake and I went out of the course," Vonn told the AP on Wednesday. "But I can only keep smiling because I know I was skiing well and sometimes you go down when you're attacking."
Vonn has never finished higher than fourth in the giant slalom.
