The few thousands of people who planned on attending Friday's game between the Cardinals and Red Sox in Jupiter, Fla., are left with the disappointing reality of not seeing a baseball game and — worse yet — being stuck in Florida in the rain.
The game, which was scheduled for a 1:05 p.m. start time, was rained out. According to The Boston Globe's Peter Abraham, the game is tentatively scheduled to be made up as part of a double-header on March 22.
Abraham also reports that Clay Buchholz, who was slated to pitch in this game, will pitch instead on Saturday and that Jason Varitek said he expects to return to game action on Sunday.
