Good news baseball fans: According to deadline.com, a movie version of Michael Lewis' book Money Ball will begin shooting by July.

Even better news for pink hat baseball fans who have never heard of the 2003 best-selling book: It's starring Brad Pitt as Oakland A's general manager Billy Beane.

Columbia Pictures is set to begin filming after the movie's budget shrunk down from around $60 million to around $47 million. The Bennett Miller-directed film will also star Jonah Hill, who will play Beane 's assistant Paul De Podesta. Former MLB players who were previously inked to play themselves in the upcoming flick have been scrapped from the roster. Those players include Scott Hatteberg, David Justice, Darryl Strawberry and Lenny Dykstra.
