Report: Jets to Visit With Free-Agent Kicker Neil Rackers

Could the Jets be pulling the ole switcheroo? Three days after former New York kicker Jay Feely signed with the Arizona Cardinals, ESPN.com is reporting that the Jets are planning to visit with the man Feely replaced in Arizona — Neil Rackers.

A source told the Web site that Rackers was flying to New York on Monday for a meeting Tuesday. He had been in negotiations with the Cardinals before they decided to give Feely a two-year, $3 million contract.

Rackers made 16 of 17 field goals last season while battling a nagging groin injury that cost him two games. He was named to the Pro Bowl in 2005 after leading the NFL in field goals attempted (42), field goals made (40) and field-goal percentage (95.2). In his 10 NFL seasons, he has compiled a 78.2 percent conversion rate.
