Defending champion Tiger Woods will play for a possible fifth career Memorial title.

According to the Golf Channel, Woods will return to competition from a recently inflamed joint in his neck at next week’s Memorial Tournament.

The return would mark Woods’ fourth start of the season since returning from a highly publicized break from golf to address personal issues. It would be his first start since withdrawing on the seventh hole of the final round of the Players Championship on May 9.

Recently, Woods’ game has lacked consistency. After tying for fourth at the Masters, he missed the cut at the Quail Hollow Championship one week before withdrawing from the Players.

Woods will also reportedly participate in a nine-hole skins game on Wednesday at the Memorial with a group that includes Jack Nicklaus and Phil Mickelson.
