It's been a week since the Nation saw Mike Cameron take the field, but in Sunday's series finale at Fenway South, the center fielder will return to the lineup and bat eighth.
Cameron has been out since last Sunday due to soreness in his left side and returns just in time to get his whacks in at the lowly Orioles and second-year hurler Brian Matusz. The Sox — excluding Cameron, who was on the DL at the time — have faced the lefty earlier this season and posted three runs on six hits in six frames. He received a no-decision for the April 24 tilt, but the O's would go on to lose 7-6.
Adrian Beltre also returns to the mix and will play third and bat sixth. J.D. Drew will have the day off and watch Darnell McDonald take his spot in right field and bat ninth.
Marco Scutaro and Jason Varitek have each homered off Matusz, with Scutaro's coming last season as a member of the Blue Jays. Five other current Sox hitters have singles off the tall hurler from Colorado.
