The Red Sox and Fenway Park are going green.

The team announced a marketing agreement with energy solutions company Solar Blue, LLC of Orlando, Fla., on Monday. As the "Official Energy Conservation Partner" of the Red Sox franchise and of the ballpark, Solar Blue logos and signage will be prominently displayed at Fenway.

Solar Blue will work with the team to implement energy conservation measures at the ballpark, extending the organization’s commitment made in 2008 to explore environmentally sustainable habits.

"As a leader in providing cutting-edge energy solutions to our clients, we couldn't be happier than to associate our brand with another true category leader, the Boston Red Sox, one of the most well-known and well-respected brands in all of sport," said Solar Blue chief executive Lee Maher.

Solar Blue also announced that it has retained the Red Sox’ sister company Fenway Sports Group (FSG), a premier sports marketing agency.

"It is terrific to simultaneously launch FSG’s new relationship with Solar Blue and announce their new marketing sponsorship agreement with the Boston Red Sox," said Fenway Sports Group managing director Mark Lev. "The Red Sox and their fan base, 'Red Sox Nation,' are passionate about energy conservation and protecting the environment and this new relationship with Solar Blue will contribute to ongoing efforts to make America’s Most Beloved Ballpark one of America’s greenest ballparks."

The vision of Solar Blue, founded in 2006, is to protect the earth’s natural resources for future generations by providing clean renewable energy and reducing energy consumption.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
