Report: Golfer John Daly Sues Children’s Charity for $100 Million

Professional golfer John Daly needs money, and he wants it from a charity for children.

According to the Palm Beach Post, the 44-year-old is asking for $100 million from the Children’s Healthcare Charity, among other defendants, for an injury sustained at a Florida charity tournament in 2007.

Daly reportedly needed "injection surgery" to keep his ribs in place during his golf swing after a woman jumped in front of him mid-swing at the Honda Classic in Palm Beach Gardens.

"[Daly] suffered bodily injury and resulting pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, loss of capacity for the enjoyment of life, medical treatment, loss of earnings [and] loss of ability to earn money," the lawsuit reads.

According to the report, Daly blames the injury for his subsequent absence from other tournaments.

PGA National Resort and the PGA Tour are also named in the lawsuit.
