Quote of the Day
“It feels, you know, weird. I tell you the truth, I was a
little nervous, too. As soon as I jumped on the field things got a
little fluid and I just enjoyed the game.”
–Victor Martinez, on his return to Cleveland
Comment of the Day
Because nothing is more appetizing than playing for the Amazin’ (-ly bad) Mets.
“Don’t get
me wrong- I’d love to see V-Mart replace Papi as the DH (and as Wake’s
catcher and Youk’s back-up) next year. However, with Mauer off the
market, Martinez will be the most attractive free agent catcher. If
he’s intent on maximizing his earnings, he’ll go that route. NY Mets
anyone?”
