Would Eddie House or Delonte West Be a Better Fit for Celtics?

When the Celtics won the championship in 2008, Eddie House provided a huge spark off the bench with his ridiculous 3-point shooting streaks.

Earlier this month, it was reported that House, who was traded in February for point guard Nate Robinson, may be coming back to Boston.

On Monday, House’s agent, Mark Bartelstein, confirmed that he’s in communication with the Celtics.

"It’s something [Celtics president of basketball operations] Danny [Ainge] and I have discussed," Bartelstein told The Boston Globe. "But nothing’s imminent."

Ainge has made it well-known that the Celtics are looking for a backup for point guard Rajon Rondo. Another former Celtic, Delonte West, is in the mix.

West averaged 8.8 points for the Cavaliers last season and shot 32.5 percent from beyond the arc.

House averaged seven points in 61 games between the Celtics and Knicks, shooting 34.8 percent on 3s, his worst mark since the 2001-02 season.

West is a better, more versatile defender than House, but House has proven his worth in crunch time — unlike West, who has been ousted from the playoffs with the Cavs each of the last two seasons.
