The Boston Bruins have reached an agreement with defenseman Mark Stuart, according to multiple reports.

Both The Boston Globe and CSNNE.com reported that the deal will pay Stuart $1.675 million in the upcoming season.

Stuart, 26, opted not to file for arbitration last week, and his agent confirmed to reporters that the two sides were close enough to avoid that route.

Stuart had just seven points in 52 games this past season, as he was beset by numerous injuries. In 252 NHL games, he has 35 points and a plus-29 rating.
