While you often can't take much of what Tom Cruise says seriously, he may be on to something here.
Cruise, at the London Premier of his current film Knight and Day, said that he has repeatedly told soccer's biggest star that he should become an actor. "I think David Beckham would be a great actor," Cruise said.
Beckham already has somewhat of a media empire: having his own video games, doing extensive modeling, marrying Posh Spice and making many television appearances.
Living in Los Angeles with wife Victoria Beckham, it seems likely that the L.A. Galaxy star will eventually find his way into film. He has already appeared in the Goal! Trilogy and had a movie made in his honor, Bend It Like Beckham, become an international hit.
Still, Beckham stated in 2007 that he "can't act" and that he is "stiff."
