Tracy McGrady looks to be on his way to the Windy City.
T-Mac worked out for the Bulls on Monday, and he is expected to talk contracts with Bulls management over lunch on Monday as well.
According to ESPN, McGrady worked out with the Los Angeles Clippers last week, but he has stated that he would prefer Chicago. He's even talking like he is already on the team: "I think we can be really good, I really do."
After a long stretch of injuries with the Houston Rockets, McGrady, and his massive expiring contract, spent the latter portion of last season with the New York Knicks. He averaged 9.4 points per game with the team.
The Bulls have made a multitude of strong offseason acquisitions including Carlos Boozer, Ronnie Brewer and Kyle Korver.
With a strong young nucleus already in place, McGrady would have to come off of the bench, which he has said he "wouldn't mind."
Derrick Rose is excited about the prospect of McGrady joining the team, saying, "He's a player. If he just gives us half of what he's got, we'll be all right."
If McGrady's knee appears NBA ready to Bulls brass, a deal moving him to Chicago will likely be not be far off.
