Evan Longoria Breaks Up Brandon Morrow’s No-Hitter Bid With Two Outs in Ninth

Just one out away, Evan Longoria's infield hit robbed Brandon Morrow of his no-hit bid.

Morrow struck out 17 batters and allowed just two walks, in addition to a Lyle Overbay error, but Longoria's two-out hit was what mattered most.

Second baseman Aaron Hill had a chance to make the play, but the ball was hit sharply and far to his left.

The no-hitter would have been the sixth of the season, just one off of the record seven in 1991.

Morrow has been close before, going 7 2/3 innings without allowing a hit to the Yankees in his first career start in 2008.

The Blue Jays won the game 1-0, handing the Rays their fifth straight loss.
