The NESN/WEEI Jimmy Fund Radio-Telethon raised $3,060,322 from fans across America.
The telethon received support from a myriad of Boston sports greats, celebrities, businesses, and a great number of generous donors.
Throughout the telethon, cancer survivors like Mark Herzlich and Patriots Hall of Famer Mike Haynes shared their experiences of battling the disease, as did many of the young people who beat cancer with the help of the Dana-Farber Institute.
Stars like Dustin Pedroia and David Ortiz also spoke out about how much of a difference volunteering at Dana-Farber can make, and how brave the young patients at the center really are.
Various Boston sports-related packages were auctioned off to contribute to the $3,060,322 million grand total, which brings immense support and optimism to the young patients at Dana-Farber, as well as to the world's battle against cancer.
