Bill Belichick has labeled Wes Welker a game-time decision for Thursday night's preseason opener against the defending Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints.
"We’ll see how it goes here [after analyzing Tuesday and Wednesday's practices] and make a decision on that," Belichick said at his Wednesday news conference. "I don’t know. I’m not saying he will. I’m not saying he won’t. We’ll evaluate it and see."
Welker has been out since injuring his knee in last season's Week 17 game against the Houston Texans.
