Chad Ochocinco may have been the only Cincinnati Bengal to show up for Sunday’s dismantling at the hands of the Patriots, but not after being a no-show a day earlier.
Ochocinco recently took many of his Twitter followers out to dinner in Indianapolis, and he claimed that he would pull the same stunt on his trip to the Northeast.
“Shout out to all my Patriot buddies looking forward to Sunday, patriot fans I still need a venue for the fan appreciation dinner,” he tweeted this past Thursday, Deadspin reports.
According to the report, one couple drove from Boston to Providence — where away teams stay — to meet with the former Oregon State star. All was going according to plan as the wideout tweeted dinner location suggestions.
Then, the former Chad Johnson — in a rare move — went silent.
Ochocinco did reportedly sign autographs for fans that evening, but instead of going to dinner with followers as promised, he had dinner with a friend of one of his sponsors.

Comment of the Day
Randy Moss‘ words on Sunday can only be described as “introspective.”
“I first
started to read this column with a sense of cynicism. I thought what I
was about to read would be some kind of self-indulging, sarcastic
nonsense from the mouth of Randy Moss. But as I read his words,
especially the second paraphrase, I couldn’t help but feel that this guy
is much more introspective than any of us fans ever gave him credit
for. What he said was profound, and very well conceived. As the saying
goes, you can’t judge a book by its cover. Apparently, Randy Moss has a
lot more to say than any of us imagined.”
