Report: Derek Jeter Puts New York Penthouse on Market for $20 Million

Is Derek Jeter movin’ on down?

According to the New York Post, Jeter has put his posh penthouse on the market for $20 million. The 5,425 square-foot apartment is located in the Trump World Tower in the United Nations Plaza. The Yankees’ shortstop and captain bought the apartment directly from Donald Trump in 2001 for $12.6 million.

Don’t worry about Jeter being homeless. He reportedly is building a 30,875 square-foot, seven-bedroom, nine bathroom estate on Davis Island in Tampa, Fla.

Jeter can afford the palatial digs. He is currently playing out the last year of a 10-year, $189 million contract and is expected to re-sign with the Yankees.
