Who Will Win the Sylvania 300 at New Hamphire Motor Speedway on Sunday?

New England race fans, start your engines.

The Sylvania 300 is in Loudon, N.H., this weekend as NASCAR’s version of the playoffs begins. Roush Fenway fans couldn’t be happier as the team occupies one-quarter of the 12-car field with Carl Edwards, Greg Biffle and Matt Kenseth.

Edwards hasn’t had much success at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway since he finished third in 2008, but as he gets ready to drive the No. 99 Aflac Ford Fusion, he knows he’s capable of putting on a show once again.

“I think Loudon is a good race track,” Edwards said. “I think the biggest challenge this weekend will be getting our setup right.  It’s a short race without a lot of cautions, so qualifying will be important.  It’s just the regular stuff we deal with at Loudon trying to get track position, but we’ve been qualifying a lot better lately, and our setups have been pretty good, so I’m very optimistic that we will be contenders.”

All three of Roush Fenway’s 2010 Chase participants have made multiple appearances in the Chase. Kenseth is making his sixth appearance, Edwards is making his fifth and Biffle is making his fourth.

NESN will have extensive coverage of all the festivities and will air a special edition of NESN Daily called Roush Fenway Racing: Welcome to Boston on Friday, Sept. 17 at 11 p.m.
