Dominic Rhodes Leads Tuskers Past Colonials in Front of Record-Setting Crowd at Rentschler Field

Apparently, the bye week didn’t help out the Hartford Colonials.

After a week away from the field, the Nutmeg State’s UFL reps were back in action Saturday and hosted the Florida Tuskers at Rentschler Field in East Hartford, Conn. The Tuskers won the game 33-20 in front 14,468 fans — the highest attendance for a UFL game to date.

The game featured familiar names such as former NFL players Brooks Bollinger, Dominic Rhodes, Josh McCown, Jermaine Wiggins, as well as head coach Jay Gruden — brother of former NFL coach John Gruden.

Rhodes, who rushed for nine touchdowns and over 1,000 yards as an Indianapolis Colts rookie in 2001, ran all over the Colonials and finished just shy of a 100 yards rushing.

The Colonials are now 1-2 and have fallen to fourth place. The Tuskers, meanwhile, sit right above them at an even 2-2 after the win.
