There's a good chance Alex Ovechkin isn't a big fan of the Bruins. With no points and a minus-3 rating in two games this season against the B's, there's no reason to enjoy facing the Black and Gold.
But how do Bruins fans feel about Ovechkin?
Off the ice, he's a rock star and a party animal who enjoys fast cars and beautiful women. On the ice he's hard-hitting, high-motor sniper who isn't afraid to get in the corners or celebrate a goal like he was on an Icelandic soccer team.
There's a lot to like about a great player with a big personality, but anyone who enters the Garden without the spoked-B on his chest rarely receives a warm welcome from the Causeway crowd. Plus, Ovechkin is a certified Bruin killer. Prior to this season, he registered 23 points in 20 career games against the B's — including three game-winning goals.
Last season alone, he had three goals and three assists to go with 12 hits in four games against Boston. The year before he had just four points in four games but rattled off a ridiculous 28 shots on net.
When not squaring off against Zdeno Chara and the Bruins' defense, the 25-year-old Russian is tearing things up once again this season. In 12 games (10 against teams other than the B's), Ovie has seven goals and eight assists for 15 points.
