Heidi Watney Back in Running With 4-1 Week 8 Showing in ‘NESN Daily’ Grid Picks

There wasn’t much variation in the picks of the NESN Daily Grid PIcks contest, but Heidi Watney was rewarded for not going with the trends in Week 8.

She was the only one to see the Saints pulling out a win at home against the Steelers on Sunday night and that was the difference for her on her way to a 4-1 weekend. With the impressive weekend, she improves to 24-16 (.600) on the season.

Uri Berenguer, Tom Caron, Naoko Funayama, David Givens, Jerry Remy and Kathryn Tappen all had identical picks and thererfore all of them went 3-2 for the week.

Givens follows NESN Daily insider Max Lane after Lane went 4-1 in his second week of picking. The newcomers technically lead the way, with Lane checking in with a .900 winning percentage, with Givens close behind at the .800 clip.

Jerry Remy, who has a 27-13 record for the season, sits right behind Lane and Givens with his .675 winning percentage. Also at .675 are the NESN.com readers who went a perfect 5-0 for the week.
