Max Lane, David Givens Taking ‘NESN Daily’ Grid Picks Race Down to Wire

At some point, David Givens is going to have to differentiate from Max Lane just to try and make up a game or two — despite continued success for both.

The former Patriots posted identical picks and identical 4-1 records this week, as it's come down to a two-horse race in NESN Daily Grid Picks. Lane holds a slight lead with a .778 winning percentage, compared to Givens' .775.

Every other contestant put up 3-2 records this week, meaning the battle for third place between Tom Caron and Naoko Funayama continues to roll on. Through 15 weeks, both have 51-24 records for a .680 winning percentage.

They're narrowly followed by Heid Watney (.667), Jerry Remy (.653), Kathryn Tappen (.653) and Uri Berenguer (.600).

While Lane and Givens scored the only 4-1 records of the week for NESN personalities, the NESN.com readers joined the duo with a 4-1 week. That gives the readers a 52-23 record for the season, good for a .693 winning percentage.
