FOXBORO, Mass. — Patriots rookie cornerback Devin McCourty, who was listed as questionable, is active for Sunday night's game against the Packers after he suffered a rib injury last week against the Bears. McCourty missed Wednesday's practice and was limited Thursday and Friday.
However, running back Fred Taylor was surprisingly listed on the Pats' inactive list. He did not appear on the injury report this week, and this is the eighth time he has been inactive this season.
The Patriots' inactive list also included defensive linemen Myron Pryor (back), Ron Brace (concussion) and Mike Wright (concussion), as well as wide receiver Taylor Price, running back Thomas Clayton, offensive lineman Rich Ohrnberger and tackle Mark LeVoir.
Price has been inactive for all 14 games this season, while Ohrnberger is missing his 11th consecutive game and LeVoir is out for the 10th week in a row. Pryor is missing his sixth consecutive game, Wright is out for the fourth week in a row, Brace is missing his second game of the season, and Clayton is out for the third straight game since rejoining the Patriots.
Cornerback Tony Carter is active for his first time as a member of the Patriots after getting promoted to the active roster Saturday.
Defensive lineman Gerard Warren (knee), tight end Aaron Hernandez (flu), quarterback Tom Brady (right foot), wide receiver Deion Branch (knee), cornerback Darius Butler (thigh) and cornerback Kyle Arrington (elbow) are all active after appearing on this week's injury report.
