Rex Ryan and his wife’s feet stole all the attention on Wednesday, but they may have been overshadowing something that was actually a little crazier. That something was Ron Artest.
The Lakers’ forward was discussing Kobe Bryant‘s ejection on Tuesday night, and he explained that even great players like Bob Cousy have been ejected. Then, well, according to FanHouse, he said this: “The only person who never got ejected was Jesus.”
OK then.
Because the reporter was unfamiliar with Christ’s basketball stats (he doesn’t show up on basketball-reference, unless he’s hiding as Fred Christ, who played just six games for the Knicks in the 1954-55 season), Artest was asked if he had ever seen Jesus’ box scores.
“No ejections. He was 10 for 10s, a lot of 20 for 20s [shooting],” Artest explained. “Perfect from the free-throw line. Infinity rebounding stats.”
It makes you wonder how Jesus would feel about playing on Christmas Day.

Quote of the day
“It’s not a big deal to us, really. It’s not like he killed somebody or committed adultery or anything. It’s between him and his family. Foot fetish? Whatever. I mean, that’s his wife.”
–Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis, to the New York Post, regarding Rex Ryan’s embarrassing foot fetish videos

It’s good to know the pain still lives on.
“Being a displaced sox fan, I was finally able to bring my wife to fenway. Watching the sox blown a 5-2 lead in the 9th helped her understand the pre-04 pain of RSN.”
–Jim
