What better way to celebrate than by blowing up your stadium?
The western portion of TCU’s home field, Amon G. Carter Stadium was imploded on Sunday as part of the $105 million stadium renovation set to complete in 2012. In 2011, the team will continue to play in the half-demolished stadium.
The Horned Frogs last lost a home game in Oct., 2007 against Utah — a streak of 20 games. LaDainian Tomlinson set the single-game rushing record with 406 yards at Amon G. Carter in 1999.
See the destruction below.

“It hopefully will be fixed tomorrow. It looks like I just went 12 rounds with (boxer Manny) Pacquiao.”

“Why do basketball articles anywhere, not just at nesn.com, almost always make such a big deal about who the leading scorer was, but seldom mention who had the best plus-minus rating?
The latter, IMO, is a much more revealing statistic, since ball-hogs rarely look as good on it as they do on the points list.”

Apparently, it has taken three weeks to rig up the explosion.
