In New England, most hockey fans are very familiar with Flyers head coach Peter Laviolette. The Franklin, Mass. native not only grew up and coached in the area, but he also played college hockey in Massachusetts.

Thursday's The Four's Questions of the Day asked at which Massachusetts school did Laviolette play during his collegiate hockey career.

The former Bruins assistant played four years at Westfield State College in Westfield, Mass. He wasn't drafted out of college, but went on to play for the U.S. National Team before he got his break in the NHL.

Laviolette, a defenseman, played 12 games for the New York Rangers in the 1988-89 season, and continued to play for their affiliate until the 1991-92 season. He went on to play for the Providence Bruins before he started his coaching career in 1997-98.
